The Fordsons perform old-time, mountain and early bluegrass music from the Appalachian region United States of America. This is music rooted in the folk ballads and traditional tunes imported to the USA by immigrants from the British Isles. The Fordsons take their influence from the popular old-time music of the 1920s and 30s. Music made famous in the recordings of The Skillet Lickers, Charlie Poole, Al Hopkins Bucklebuster and The Carter Family to name just a few.
